Webb30 jan. 2012 · I'm sure you'll be quite happy with your Mianne benchwork. They've been around for quite a few years and they make a quality product. From a 1997 review in Model Railroad Craftsman: "It uses the same construction methods as cabinets and furniture, which is no surprise since it was developed by a cabinet maker." WebbExcellent, well-made product, easy to assemble, and the Mianne folks support you after the sale. Buying Tip: Full disclosure in that I'm not sure if this is still the case, but if you buy from them at York they waive the shipping. A lot of people think they can't build benchwork, but if they can use a saw, a carpenter's square, and a measuring tape, they probably can. Power tools make it easier, but are not essential (and they can be rented pretty cheaply).

It apears that surface board support is 24" X 24" recommended minimum thickness 1/2" It appears you can add additional surface support.
