WebGreat walk with very clearly marked trail that goes around the lake. We parked and started at the Laurance Rockefeller Preserve Centre and the route up to Phelps Lake was clearly marked. The walk from the Rockefeller Preserve, around the lake and back to the Centre took us less than 3 hours. Lots of lovely views of the hills and lakes. The road is closed for most of the year, so you can only access this spot from the months of June through October.Also, the lake gets very chilly, so summer is the best time for a cool dip 💦.
